<div>　１０月３日（月）～１０月４日(火)、栃木県佐野市運動公園第１多目的球技場にて「第７７回国民体育大会」（いちご一会とちぎ大会）ラグビーフットボール競技成年男子の部が開催されました。コロナ禍で前2大会が中止となり3年振りの国体開催となりました。</div> <div>　７人制で実施される成年男子の部ですが、九州ブロック代表として3大会連続の出場を決めた熊本県成年男子チームは、10月3日の予選プールで岩手、栃木、三重の各チームと対戦しました。試合の結果、予選プール1勝2敗の3位となり惜しくも決勝トーナメント進出となりませんでした。今回は地元の栃木チームと優勝した三重チームと同プールとなり、大変厳しいゲームとなりましたが、あと一歩が届かず無念の予選敗退となりました。</div> <div>　２５日の決勝トーナメントは１回戦でＢグループ４位の長崎県と対戦し前半に３トライを挙げて１９－０、後半も３トライを追加し３８－７で勝利し代表決定戦へ進みました。代表決定戦では１回戦で沖縄県を破ったＡグループ２位の佐賀県と対戦し、前半は熊本が１トライ、佐賀が２トライをあげて５－１４と佐賀９点リードで折り返します。しかし後半に入り佐賀が４トライを重ねるも対する熊本はノートライに終わり、５－３８で敗れ第３代表決定戦に回りました。代表決定戦は福岡と対戦。前半は１４－１４のイーブンで折り返し、後半は熊本が２トライを挙げ、守っても福岡を１トライに抑え２６－２１の１トライ差で見事勝利し、茨城国体への出場を決めました。</div> 少年の部は３パートに分かれてのトーナメント戦を実施。２３日に１回戦が行われ、Ａパートの熊本県は初戦、大分県と対戦。前半は熊本、大分とも１トライを挙げて熊本５－７大分で折り返します。後半に入りゲームは膠着状態が続きお互い追加点が入らず、このままノーサイドと思われましたが終了間際、相手陣内での難しい位置でのペナルティゴールを⑮中尾(熊西)が決めて熊本が８－７で劇的な勝利を挙げて代表決定戦へ進みました。２５日に行われた強豪福岡との代表決定戦。大分戦での勝利で勢いをつけて臨みましたが、福岡が前半５トライ、後半にも７トライの猛攻で、０－７８。昨年に続き福岡県の厚い壁に阻まれ残念ながら本国体出場権は獲得できませんでした。</div> <div>　今回が４回目の国体競技に正式採用された７人制女子の部は２３日に２パートに分かれ熊本県・長崎県・宮崎県・鹿児島県の４チームで予選リーグ戦を行いました。予選の結果は熊本県０－２９長崎県、熊本県５－１７宮崎県、熊本県５－５０鹿児島県となり予選はＢグループ４位通過となりました。２５日の決勝トーナメントでは１回戦でＡグループ１位の福岡県と対戦し前・後半で５トライずつ計１０トライを挙げられ、残念ながら０－６６で初戦敗退となりました。</div> style="margin-left:-3.25pt;">昨年度、少年は初戦で沖縄県と対戦し勝利しましたが、決定戦で強豪福岡県に０－７６で敗れ出場権獲得はできませんでした。</div> <div style="margin-left:-3.25pt;">女子は予選リーグ戦を３敗の４位、決勝トーナメントでも１回戦でこちらも福岡県と対戦しましたが５－４０で敗退となりました。</div> <div>成年の部は予選リーグ戦３戦全勝で通過、決勝トーナメントは１回戦で宮崎県と対戦し４０－７で快勝し代表決定戦へ。その代表決定戦では鹿児島県と対戦し、１０－７の３点差で辛勝し２年ぶりに国体出場権を得ました。</div> <div>その後福井県で開催された本国体で大健闘し、地元福井には敗れたものの準優勝という素晴らしい結果をあげてくれたのはまだ記憶に新しいところです。</div> 陸上競技場と運動広場で第３７回九州ブロック国体が開催されました。昨年度から女子の７人制の部が正式競技となり今年度も成年、少年、女子の３カテゴリーでの開催となりました。</div> <div> </div> <div>　７人制 成年の部は１８日に２パートに分かれ熊本県・福岡県・大分県・宮崎県の４チームで予選リーグ戦を行いその結果、熊本県は全勝しＢグループ１位で予選リーグを通過。<br /> 　２０日の決勝トーナメントは１回戦でＡグループ４位の長崎県と対戦し前半に２トライを挙げて１４－０、後半も３トライを追加して３３－０で勝利し代表決定戦へ進みました。代表決定戦では１回戦で大分県を破ったＡグループ２位の佐賀県と対戦し、前半はお互い２トライを挙げて、１コンバージョンゴールを決めた熊本が１２－１０とリードして折り返します。しかし後半は２トライ（１ゴール）を決めた佐賀に対して熊本は１トライ（１ゴール）に抑えられ１９－２２で試合終了。３点差で惜敗し、残念ながら５年連続の国体出場とはなりませんでした。</div> <div>　２０２０年東京オリンピック育成指定選手でもある熊本サンデーズ所属の小森邦洋選手がこの度、男子ＳＤＳ（セブンズ・デベロップメント・スコッド）に選出され、５月の熊谷合宿、７月の北海道、東京合宿を経て、現在８月１２日(土)～１９日(土)にかけて行われているオーストラリアキャンプに参加中です。この「男子ＳＤＳキャンプ」はセブンズの大会出場選手などから男子セブンズ日本代表候補になり得る選手を招集し、育成・強化を目的に行う合宿です。小森選手はこれまで国内の男子セブンズ日本代表候補合宿に３度召集され、確実に力を付けてきた成果がコーチ陣の目に留まり、男子ＳＤＳの選出へと繋がりました。また今回のオーストラリアキャンプが自身初の海外合宿となりました。<br 　小森選手は長崎県立大村高校からラグビーを始め高校２年・３年時にセブン九州高校代表に選出されました。その後、熊本大学へ進学、熊本大学工学部大学院在籍中もラグビーを続け、現在ソニーセミコンダクタマニュファクチャリング(株)に勤務。ラグビープレーヤーとしてクラブチームの熊本サンデーズに所属し、ポジションはウイング、チームの中心選手として九州クラブリーグの舞台で活躍中です。又、熊本県成年男子代表チームの一員として国体にも出場、成年男子チームが東京大会以降４大会連続本国体出場し、全国の舞台でも目覚ましい活躍を上げるその原動力となっています。<br
